Paul Dreyer

“I love seeing kids challenge themselves and accomplish something that they never thought they could do.” Paul also loves to be outside, whether it’s cycling across Central America, rafting the Grand Canyon, guiding programs in Nepal or just hiking and biking around Boulder. A self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, he has been teaching and leading groups in outdoor settings for twenty years. Paul has held leadership positions at the Watershed School, the Cottonwood Institute, High Mountain Institute, Where There Be Dragons, Tandana Foundation and the National Outdoor Leadership School among others. Paul is also a WEMT and an Instructor for the Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI), teaching wilderness first aid courses of all levels. He holds an M.A. in School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. As Avid4 Adventure’s Chief Empowerment Officer, Paul guides our long term vision and oversees new program development, risk management, and general operations.

A Letter From Our Chief Empowerment Officer

My name is Paul Dreyer and I'm CEO (Chief Empowerment Officer) here at Avid4 Adventure. I want to let you in on of some of the new ways that we as a company are trying to be good stewards of the environment. With National Park fees scheduled to increase dramatically, protected National Monuments shrinking in size and oil and gas companies getting more and more access to drilling in delicate landscapes, we know that everyone needs to do their part to help protect our world. We have 8 Core Values at Avid, and each year we choose one of those values to honor. This year, our Core Value focus is Live Environmentally Connected.

Sure, we already do a pretty good job of Living Environmentally Connected, but we are constantly trying to improve ourselves and our company. Here are a few things we're doing in 2018:
